INDEPENDENT world cinema

DALSTON, LONDON

Thunderdance film festival (TFF) is a bi-annual event set in the heart of Hackney. TFF focuses on independent cinema from around the globe and is split into a summer and winter event, which we call our 'light' and 'dark' festivals.

We have a diverse judging panel of renowned directors, producers, actors and influencers. Our aim is to support every facet of independence in the arts. From the film maker to the popcorn maker.

LIGHT

DARK

The winter festival solely focuses on darker and deeper subject matter. Ranging from thrillers & horror's to psychology and mental health based narratives.

The summer film festival aims to champion all mediums & modes of film making, including narrative, music videos, animation & fashion films to name a few.
